When examining your PUI AS01508MR-6-R speaker, you’ll find four solder pads. The two inner solder pads will be covered by epoxy or glue, and you may end up wondering why?
The inside solder pads are for the voice coil connection to the PCB; they’re not intended for use by the end customer. The glue covers the wires from the voice coil to these solder pads.
The two outer solder pads (marked in black and red in the above image) are the ones you should be using for soldering your power connections to the speaker. The part’s functionality will not be affected if the inner pads are covered by epoxy or glue.
