When creating an online list, is there a way to get the reference designator to show up on the printed label on the package for the component? It specifically says in the reference designator column that the value doesn’t appear on the label. This would be incredibly helpful!

I’m sorry I’m not sure if that is possible. I’m checking on this to confirm. In the mean time if someone else is more familiar with this they will reply here. Once I know more or can confirm one way or the other, I’ll post it here.
This post describes the various fields on the packaging labels. Please note that the “customer reference number” field in the list tool does in fact appear on the product labeling.

Anything that gets put in the Customer Reference Field in the cart or MyLists - (click here), would subsequently be transferred to the cart’s CREF field which would end up on the label. I believe you can fit 48 characters in this field.
