I need to read a RPM of a single cylinder engine ( flywheel) with read out display 16 feet from the engine.Is this possible with a hall effect system?

You should be able to use a hall effect item to read the speed.

Would an example of a hall reader.
However to select a more particular option the expected max RPM of the flywheel would be known.
I did not see an option that came with a display attached, sorry.
