RFI and EMI shielding materials are designed to absorb, reflect or conduct electronic noise away from or around sensitive devices and circuits. Common shielding materials include aluminum, copper, tin, epoxy and ferrite powders, gold fabric, nickel, nitrile and forms of polyester. They are available in adhesive and non-adhesive sheets, rolls, tapes and die-cut shapes.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: The names that differentiate product types that fit under this category from each other.
Shape: Describes the style or geometry of the available products.
Length: The measurement from the front side to the back side of the product when looking at the front.
Width: The measurement from the left side to the right side of the product when looking at the front.
Thickness - Overall: Characterizes overall material thickness, inclusive of cover sheets, adhesives, etc.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.
Adhesive: The type of adhesive used to attach the product.
Material: The material that the product is primarily made of. Remember plating can change the appearance and make something nickel look gold
