Recently there has been a concern about the “scratches” or similar looking marks on the Ublox antenna module, specifically the SAM-M8Q-0-10
According to the manufacturer the marks are actually cuts made in the antenna to tune to the frequency needed, these tuning cuts are made by a diamond drill to get the antenna into correct resonance at production. Some antennas are needed to be hand tuned on the production line to get within production tolerances. These marks are completely normal and occur on all such antennas.
