Sensor, Transducer Amplifiers

This Product Selection Guide contains information to help select products in the Sensor, Transducer Amplifiers category on DigiKey.com

Sensor Amplifiers use application specific circuitry to condition a sensor’s raw output signal into a usable form through amplification and conversion. Output types include analog voltage or current, digital, NPN or PNP transistor, linear and relay contact(s). Common mounting types include bracket, cable, chassis, DIN rail, board surface, and through-hole.

SelectionCharacteristics

Specifications to determine which amplifier sensor is right for your application.

Amplifier Type: Refers to the type of application or function the amplifier is designed for.

Voltage - Supply: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.

Output Type: Indicates the type of electrical signal the device provides, such as analog or digital.

Current - Supply: Typically this represents the maximum current to which a device will meet its given specifications. Exceeding this current may damage the device and/or other system components.

Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.

Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
