Sliding Potentiometers for vintage guitar

I need replacement sliding potentiometers (500K Ohms) for a Teisco (Kay) electric guitar model EP-100T. Existing pots are marked as 593.1 and dimensions are 2.0" long X .56" wide X .44" high. They have two tapped mounting holes for either a #2 screw or M2 X 0.4 thread pitch. Spacing for mounting holes is 1.75". Travel of the slide is approx. 1.38".

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

I’m sorry, but we do not have a match to your part. Our selection for slide potentiometers is very limited and that category of parts seems to have a large variation of footprints and pinouts.

Hi mjdequin,

As @Brent_2328 said, we don’t appear to have a match for your slider pot. Perhaps you could find something by checking forums which focus on vintage guitar repair and such.

If you run out of other options, the one part I found which conceivably could be hacked to work for you would be the PTA3043-2015DPB504. It’s a bit shorter (mounting holes are spaced 41mm center-to-center), and slider travel is 30mm. Functionally, it would probably work reasonably well if you could make it fit, but cosmetically, it would take some magic to make it look like it wasn’t just hacked in.

Here’s the link to the datasheet for specs and dimensions.
