Soldering the HR30-8P-12P connector

Hi,

I received the HR30-8P-12P connector from Hirose today.

Since it is a relative small sized connector, containing soldering pins it implicates that the soldering pins are very close to each other.

As i see it now it is almost impossible to solder these just by hand. Is there some technique or extra tool that i’m missing in order to perform a nice soldering job on this one?

Welcome to the forum.

For connections that small, I use a stereo microscope and a very fine SMT tip on my Hakko iron.

I’ve never found any other way that doesn’t cost as much as new car.
