Products in the specialized cable assembly family incorporate cordage and connectors in combinations that are purpose specific, non-standard, uncommon, or which are otherwise ill-suited for classification among cable assemblies of some other type. Grounding and bonding straps, photovoltaic power cables, and backplane cables are among included products.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Defines the type, style, or configuration of the specialized cable assembly.
Number of Lines: Indicates the number of galvanically isolated current paths that pass through a device.
Cable Length - Unexposed: Length of cable assembly. For assemblies incorporating a flexible protective conduit, the length of the protected portion.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as shielded or IP ratings.
IP Ratings
IP (Ingress Protection) ratings such as (IP20, IP65, IP67, etc.) define how likely water and dirt will get into the system. The first number represents dirt and solid contaminants while the second represents water and liquids.
