ST. Microelectronics P/N L9942XP1TR x-ray shadowing around the center die

Hello, I am consistently seeing a density shadowing around the center die when x-raying part number L9942XP1TR. I am looking for confirmation that this is occurring during the manufacturing process and is normal. Please advise what internal material is likely causing this such as excess solder paste. Thanks for the support.

Hi @edfarnham , please contact ST directly, I’m sorry we at Digi-Key do not have any X-Ray equipment to verify, wish I did…

ST may use a 3rd party too package die wafers, so they might not know either…
