This switch is rated for 10 A @ 125 VAC but I intend to use it with audio signals where the current will nominally sit well below 10A. Still, the AC voltage will be much lower and the frequencies are much lower than typical power applications. I wonder if the current rating still holds for my application or if there are other safety considerations I should consider.

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
From the basic electrical specs, as long as the AC voltage does not go over 125VAC, and the current does not go over 10A, you should be fine.
Maybe one of the engineer that are familiar with audio signal applications, can add to this post with their knowledge.
