When looking at drawings for connectors, sometimes you may find a terminal positioning strip in your connector, as shown here for 44428-0602, a connector header from Molex. What is its function?
Terminal positioning strips ensure that the terminals are not bent during handling and operation. This strip does not add any functionality attribute to the product beyond this. When trying to assemble the connectors, it is suggested not to try and remove this terminal positioning strip.
