The TI board TMDSDOCK28335 can be powered by the USB or an external power supply. If an external supply is used, here are the specs required for the supply, 5V, >=1A, and the barrel type is a positive center with the dimensions 2.5mm inside diameter x 5.5mm outside diameter.
