What G5LE-14 24VDC relay should I buy

Application: A Concord Series 8000 Pro Lift residential elevator, installed 2000. There are 15 G5LE-14 24VDC relays in the control panel. Architecture is analog. Each relay coil is energized when the elevator is idle (not in use). This strategy allows passive failover system-wide, but the relays eventually wear out. 25 years of this is probably pretty good. I have replaced 2, with plain-jane relays, no suffix codes. See the image.

Should I buy the CH suffix, for heat resistance? Should I look at something else?

Hello @johndyerwrites,

Welcome to the TechForum.

Treat this as a safety system.

Don’t improvise.

Replace with exact components and defer to the manufacturer’s written directions for testing.

There may be liability issues with circuit modifications.

IMO, it’s not worth the risk.

Sincerely,

Aaron
