Can someone tell me where I can find the small connector keys (i mean the plugs that occupy one space on the connector to correspond with the missing male pin) for the type of connector shown below with 0.156" spacing between the pins?
Here is the product number for the connector: 2-640251-0
Welcome back to the TechForum Harold. I assume you mean a cavity plug that fills empty spaces. How many plugs do you need? Usually these are individual pieces rather than a whole row. I have to see if TE Amp offers this for this part.
Thanks Kaleb. I need about 10 of them. I am replacing all of the connectors on a 1977 pinball machine. I also need the plugs for connectors with 0.10 inch spacing, but those connectors are Molex brand. Again my thanks.
Molex makes polarizing keys for both the 0.10 and the 0.156 inch connectors. I found them by doing a google search which linked me to the products on DigiKey and other places.
Those look like they will work to me. I tried the method you suggested and did find some for the series for the TE part. Click the link below for what I found.
