Why am I experiencing voltage drops across my PCB traces? Any tips for troubleshooting apart from basics?

Voltage drops on PCB traces are due to the traces being too thin for the amount of current flowing in the trace.
If you have a bare PCB you can measure the trace resistance and then calculate the current that produces that much voltage drop.
Vdrop = Itrace * Rtrace
