Good afternoon! I have an XB8X-DMRS-001 module that I am unable to connect via UART. I followed these recommendations:

"Use the following steps to recover the device to UART operation:

  1. Hold the DIN/CONFIG low at reset time.
  2. DIN/CONFIG forces a default configuration on the UART at 9600 baud and brings up the device in Command Mode on the UART port.
  3. You should be able to use XCTU to change the settings."

However, this does not yield any results.

Additionally, I have an XB8X-DPRS-001 which connects via UART in the same way.

Second question: I was told that the XB8X-DMRS-001 is a complete replacement for the XB8X-DPRS-001, but when I solder in the XB8X-DMRS-001 instead of the XB8X-DPRS-001, the module does not connect, even though it receives settings from the m430F2419T microcontroller.

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
I see we carry the XB8X-DMRS-001, but we do not have any information in our system on the XB8X-DPRS-001 to do any comparison.
Hopefully one of the engineers on the TechForum will be familiar with this Transceiver Module, and can help with getting it set up.
