Modbus radio working with ASCII but not RTU

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am trying to setup two Digi radios Xtend 900mhx pkg (part number XTP9B-PKI-RA-NA) to work for modbus. The client and server are able to work with ASCII, but not with RTU. I switched the baud rate to 19200 for both, while keeping the settings for modbus to 9600. This was according to this link. I followed the steps, but it’s still not working. Please help. Modbus Protocol | Digi International

Hi amferguson,

Based on what I read in the link you provided, it is only recommended to raise the baud rate when using Modbus-RTU, and is not necessary for Modbus-ASCII mode. There are many places to go wrong when configuring these modems. I would advise going over the User’s Guide very carefully and double checking all of your configuration settings for anything which might be an issue.
