------Question for MOT-PWM DRV Please Put your question below------
Good afternoon,
I was looking at this product and it says that it’s supply voltage is 6 ~ 48 VDC and that if a motor is running at 12VDC at 200 rpm and 100% of the dial, 50% of the dial will be at 6VDC and 100 rpm. My question is, my motor runs at 12VDC and 150W at about a max rpm of 3500. Will this speed control cover all ranges (0V - 12V) and adjust all rpm values (0 rpm - 3500 rpm)?
Hello Jake.sohne,
Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
If your input voltage to the controller is 12VDC, it will output 12VDC to the motor, at 100%.
The potentiometer will adjust the output to the motor, from 0-100%.
So for your example, at 100%, your motor will be at 3500rpm. I don’t know how low the speed of your motor will go, before it stops from having too low of an input.
Hi jake.sohne,
According to the technical info for the part, found here, the max current for this motor driver is 10A, which means that at 12V it may not be able to drive your motor to the full 150W rating, which in-turn means it may not reach 3500 RPM, depending on the load.
