Static control grounding cords and straps are devices that connect the wrist or heel of a person to static control materials or ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) alert technology in ESD management systems. They are rated by common resistance values of 100 K?, 1 M? and 2 M? and are selected by material, cord and strap termination, closure type, and length.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: The product type or intended application.
Cord Type: Indicates the physical style of a grounding cable included with a product, if present.
Cord Termination: Describes connector(s) present on an included grounding cable.
Cord Length: The length of the device’s cord.
Number of Conductors: This is a count of how many conductive paths the device uses.
Strap Closure: The fastening or retention mechanism(s) incorporated in a strap.
Strap Material: The dominant material of the device’s strap.
Strap Termination: The mechanism used for attaching a grounding cable to the strap.
Resistance: The nominal resistance specification for the device.
Color: The dominant color or colors of the device.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as expandable or magnetic strap connection.
