AnywhereUSB 2 Connectivity

A friend gave me his AnywhereUSB 2 Plus. I’ve connected it to one of the ports on my Unifi switch and have powered it up. I attached an external USB drive to the DIGI device.

My laptop connects to my home network via Wi-Fi. I installed the AnywhereUSB Manager software, version 3.1.33.1, on the laptop.

The manager software shows that it’s “Working…” as well as “No hub(s) found”.

What am missing and why doesn’t the software find the hub?

What is the part number of the unit you have?

Regards,

It’s take a bit longer to get back to this than I expected. My apologies…

So I’ve been thru the Digi troubleshooting guide and made some changes.

Using the AnywhereUSB Manager app on my PC I can see that I’m in Service Mode. I’ve gone to Setup and made the Client ID match my PC’s name: DESKTOP-5VDSOLS.

I logged into the Digi UI software and went to System, Configuration, Device Configuration, expanded System, and set the Hostname to my PC’s ID (above).

I’ve made sure that port 18574 is open on my network.
I’ve connected the Anywhere device directly to my PC via Cat5.

Here’s what I’m seeing now.
Attempting to connect
Unable to connect
Unregistered Client ID

I’m stuck…

Hi @lastine I’ve also been digging thru Digi’s documentation, I don’t see a way to do a factory reset.

It would probably be best to post this issue in Digi’s forum: https://forums.digi.com/

Regards,

The part number is AW02-G300
