Board Supports are designed to create space between two boards or a surface and board at a specific height. These devices have mechanisms built into the part to attach the device to the boards. The characteristics are holding type, mounting type, between board height, length overall, support hole diameter, support panel thickness, mounting hole diameter, and mounting panel thickness.
SelectionCharacteristics
Holding Type: The mechanical style of the device feature intended to hold a board.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
Between Board Height: The distance between the bearing surfaces of the part; the stand-off or spacing distance provided by a part.
Length - Overall: The length of the part, typically including mounting end lengths.
Support Hole Diameter: Recommended hole diameter for a board or panel which would be supported (as opposed to supporting) in the typical application of a part.
Support Panel Thickness: The support panel thickness (range) accommodated by the support.
Mounting Hole Diameter: Recommended hole diameter for a board or panel which would be supporting (as opposed to being supported) in the typical application of a part.
Mounting Panel Thickness: The mounting panel thickness (range) accommodated by the support. (“Mounting” references the body to which the support and that which is supported are both attached.)
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as flexible, locking, or stackable.
Material: Indicates the material composition of the device.
