A Camera is optical equipment that produces digital images or record moving images saved to an SD card. The camera types are CCD 1/1.8”, CCD ½”, CCD 1/3”, CMOS ½’, CMOS 1/2.5”, CMOS 1/2.8”, CMOS 1/3”, and CMOS ¼” with a megapixels of 0.9, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 2, 3, 3.1, 3.3, and 5 and frames per second being 5, 6, 11, 12, 15, 28, 30, 45, or 60.


SelectionCharacteristics

Camera Type: Relates information describing a device’s image sensor as provided by the manufacturer. May include output resolution, optical format, and the sensor technology used.

Megapixels: The image resolution of the camera sensor, expressed as a total number of sensor elements divided by a factor of one million.

Resolution: The level of detail captured by the camera, typically measured in terms of number of pixels.

Frames per Second: Indicates the maximum number of still images per second that a camera is capable of transferring in video mode.

Interface: Indication of which interface(s) or protocol(s) are used by the device to communicate with other components in the system.
