The blue anti-static bags are recycle #4 and accepted by most public recycling centers. Like any product for recycling, make sure stickers, staples and other debris are removed from the recyclable product.
Any recommendations for the best way to remove the label for recycling? I can’t get the labels off without ripping them in a million pieces.
Hello Schmincenzo,
Thank you for your question. Heating up the sticker with a blow dryer before peeling will help release the glue. Some dish soap in a hot water bath or a label remover such as these may also work: 1873-1100-ND | 3M156526-ND | 3M161099-ND | 473-1356-ND | 2805-MCC-SAGR-ND | 2281-7000121410-ND. Please review datasheet specifications before ordering.
You may also want to check with your local recycling facility, as these stickers may or may not have to be removed. If they don’t have to be removed, all the better.
-Hope this helps.
As a side note, 473-1356-ND is very strong as it is industrial grade that can also remove graffiti, but is included in the list since it is still considered an adhesive remover.
