Configurable switches are modular electromechanical switch systems that allow users to assemble a switch to suit their specific needs. The “body” components for such systems typically house the actuating mechanism for a device and the means by which an assembled unit is mounted mechanically in the end application, and occasionally an illumination mechanism, if present. The actuator surface with which a user interacts is often incorporated with a body component, but may also be sold separately. Products of this sort are well-adapted for industrial control applications.
SelectionCharacteristics
Requires: Indicates product components or accessories sold separately that are needed in order to use a product as intended.
Type: Refers to the various categories or classifications of switches available.
Illumination: Refers to whether the switch has the capability to be illuminated or not and typically the color of that illumination.
Actuator Type: The specific design or style of the mechanism used to change the switch position.
Compatible Series: Indicates the manufacturer’s product series with which a device is compatible.
Panel Cutout Dimensions: Refers to the measurements or dimensions of the opening or cutout in the panel.
