How do I draw a wire / Trace / Line?

How do I change the color of a wire?

Click on the wire, then on the right sidebar click on Line Properties tab and select a color by clicking on the black colored box under Line Style. Once the color is selected, press [ok] and the wire color will change on the schematic.

  4. The color of the wire should be changes on the schematic.

Can I change colors of the wire connections on this program?

You can change the color of the wire, but not the color of the connections.

Can I use two colors on one line?

No, you can only change it to one color. However, you could put in a node or a junction and color the line individually to and from that point.

Q) I’m trying to label a wire.

A) There is not an option to label a wire, you will need to insert a text box.

Q) How to vary the thickness of the wire to show the mode of operation?

A) Once you create the line there will be a line properties tab on the right. You can change the line style to dotted, dashed, or solid.

I’m trying to conect two images, without pins. how i do it? (i’m unsing imgs cause there is not my components on library.)

then, you can go to the right under ‘Object Properties’ and either bring the images to the front, or the Ports to the back…

Hi @PauloA7X - For making connections between images there are 2 additional ways you can do that besides what @Brian_German mentioned.

The first is by adding an image through the toolbar menu. Once the image is added, you can click on the yellow arrow that will be visible center of your image when you hover your curser over the added image.

The second method is by creating a new symbol using Symbol Editor V2.0

Once you open the editor, insert your image.

Then you can add pins wherever you want the connection points to be located.

Once you are done, save your new symbol and close the editor. Your new symbol will be located in the left sidebar under User Library > My Custom Symbols 2.0
