Function Generators

This Product Selection Guide contains information to help select products in the Function Generators category on DigiKey.com

Function Generators are designed to generate a variety of signal waveforms of varying amplitudes and frequencies. The available types are function generator/-Analog/-DDS, pulse generator, pulse meter, and RF generator. They are available with 1, 2, or 4 channels and have frequencies ranging from 200 kHz to 70 GHz, with output signals of sine, square, triangle, ramp, pulse, and RF waveforms.

SelectionCharacteristics

Type: Indicates the style and configuration of the device.

Function: Indicates device function parameters.

Number of Channels: Number of outputs the item is able to provide waveforms over.

Frequency - Max: The maximum amount of oscillation of the wave form the device is able to generate.

Signal Types: Enumerates common test waveforms that a device is capable of generating.

Display Type: Describes the technology used for the display.

Supply Voltage: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.
