I was given one of these solder stations that were made en-masse and sold for cheap, but AFAIK, no extra tips are available. It uses a hollow tip and can provide dimensions.
Maybe someone already has discovered a tip (like a Weller) that fits these?
It’s a pretty amazing unit that has survived a decade plus of use and abuse.
I think you’ll find these were rebranded by a few companies, one of them being X-Tronic 4000 Series
I’ve heard reviews that people were using Hakko tips with the iron, but the thermal mass was heavier so it took longer to heat up. I’m also wondering if some Aoyue tips might work with those irons. Take a look at these tips to see if any of them look right
I looked up the tips w/dimensions and it appears what my station has is a T18BL. Will put one on my next order and will report back in a couple of weeks what I find, yay or nay.
