Help identifying part numbers - diodes

Hello,

I’m fixing a headlight retractor control module on my 1985 Toyota MR2. It’s the PCB that controls the pop-up lights. I’ve identified some shorted diodes I want to replace, but I can’t seem to see a part number and I don’t know diodes very well.

The space between holes on the board is 10mm. The diode is a small black cylinder with a diameter of 3mm and a length of 5mm. I can’t see a part number on the diode except for E 5E. The marking on the diode is pink.

When I put my DVOM in diode mode on a good diode it reads 0.536V forward voltage. and OL in the other direction.

Can someone help me find a replacement part number?

I’m attaching a photo for reference.

Hello,

Unfortunately, I could not identify this one.

No problem. It’s hard when there’s nothing written on it.

Do you have a part number for a high quality 1N4007 through-hole diode?

I’ve done some reading and that should work.

The manufacturer of the diode should not matter. So any of the options on the link should work fine.

Hello,

Take a look at this link for the 1N4007 part numbers.

Thank you! I got some and replaced the diodes but the board still has a fried part. I’ll do another post about this.
