Hi all.
Looking at making some custom IDE cables and already have 80 way flat cable. But really struggling to find connectors that are correct. Need 40 way (2x20) rectangle connectors. But need to accept the 80 way cable at a 0.64 pitch.
Can anyone help?

I did not find a .064 pitch cable in our ribbon cables are you sure of the pitch?
I ask because I did see .062", .063" and .065" in our cables.

It is 0.64mm (or 0.025in). Cable isn’t from DigiKey but is fairly standard 80way IDE cable.

I would not be surprised if every major connector maker stopped producing the connector with the 40 extra grounds for crosstalk reduction soon after the last PATA HDD production line closed a decade ago.
Thanks for the reply. I just wonder why they still sell the 80way cable 
AFAICT, they are mostly bought by people reviving old PCs and game systems (e.g. X-box) for retro-gaming/hobbies plus a few for maintaining obsolete but difficult to replace industrial systems.
