This diode rectifier on this vintage toy (w/motorization and sound) is usually toast. Connects the DC motor wire and the board- (mounted through hole)
Part is labelled:
IN4007
DC
Is simply replacing it with the same part the best/safest way to do this repair or is there a better option?
Can this part be replaced with any IN4007 diode? Or are there variants on the IN4007? Not sure if the “DC” relates to the manufacturer or maybe the type of power source/energy?
I only really do basic repairs usually…so I need someone smarter than me to weigh in please lol. Thanks
