I am interested in a rotary encode, does not have to be fast, but must be able to rotate to any positions (not 20 -pole) , can you recommend something. I don’t quite understand all this on your website.
The click stops that prevent smooth rotation are called detents, so choose an optical rotary encoder with no detents.
There are also many electrical variations to choose among, so to recommend a specific model I need to know what device/circuit you will use read the encoder’s output.
