Keystone Inserts are connectors of different styles or the same styles that snap into a wall plate to allow connection of an external cable into the wall run cables. The styles include audio, audio/video, banana, barrel/coaxial, coaxial/RF, d-sub, fiber optic, modular, USB, or video with exterior type being banana jack, binding post, BNC, D-Sub, DisplayPort, F-Type, HDMI, LC duplex, modular jack, MT-RJ, phone, RCA, RJ45, S-video, SC duplex/simplex, speaker post, ST simplex, USB, VF-45, or 3.5mm Stereo jack.
SelectionCharacteristics
Style: Indicates the type of connector.
Exterior Type (Adapter End): Identifies the connector that will be user-accessible in end use.
Interior Type (Adapter End): Indicates the connector present on the side of the insert intended for permanent connection.
Exterior Housing Material: Indicates the composition of the housing on the side of the insert intended for user-accessible connection.
Interior Housing Material: Indicates the composition of the housing on the side of the insert intended for permanent connection.
Exterior Housing Color: Indicates the color of the housing material that will be visible in end use.
Interior Housing Color: Indicates the color of the housing material on the side of the insert intended for permanent connection.
Exterior Contact Material: Indicates the base material from which the exterior (user-accessible in end use) contacts are formed.
Interior Contact Material: Indicates the contact base material on the side of the insert intended for permanent connection.
Exterior Contact Finish: Indicates the surface material on the contacts which are external/user accessible in end use.
Interior Contact Finish: Indicates the contact surface material on the side of the insert intended for permanent connection.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.
Ratings: Minimum performance standards of the device, which are typically set by a third party.
Specifications: This selection indicates the attributes which expound on a product’s abilities, but are not a standard attribute universal to this product family.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as a dust cap, keyed, or shielded.
