Heavy Duty Connectors – Inserts and Modules are devices of various sizes and connector arrangements designed to be placed within an outer protective shell to help complete a connector system. These connectors are known for their large conductor contact size and for having large current and voltage ratings, up to hundreds of volts and dozens of amps.
Connector Type: Indicates the style and configuration of the connector.
Gender: Indicates whether the device is male or female in configuration.
Number of Positions: The total number of electrical conductors the device has.
Size: A callout for the standard size the connector meets.
Termination Style: Describes the shape or standard configuration of a device’s electrical connection(s).
Voltage Rating: The maximum voltage the device is rated to handle.
Current Rating (Amps): The total amount of current the device is rated to safely handle.
Contact Type: Indicates geometry of contacts within connector products.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and/or other system components.
