I have an old motorcycle dashboard that has two 52mm x 27mm x 3mm thk screens. They have 12 connections on top and 19 on the bottom. They are surface mounted with zebra strips. Runs on 6v
Each screen has 4 characters and 7 segments. Is it possible to match this up with a new screen? I would be willing to take a shot as I do not know what programming it uses.
Original manufacturer is Koito from Japan.

Also, would the screen have any item numbering on it anywhere?

Unfortunately, vehicle LCD’s are almost always custom produced for the vehicle rather than being sourced from standard products. Your best bet is probable to search ebay or the used market to try to find one.
If you want to take a look at what we have, here are the ones we list which are specified as 4-character, and here’s a wider array of displays to take a look at, though less likely to find anything here.
