Line Conditioners

This Product Selection Guide contains information to help select products in the Line Conditioners category on DigiKey.com

Line conditioners are devices that provide a steady, spike free (clean) output from the normal incoming AC voltage line power. By filtering the incoming AC voltage input to remove any under or over-voltage conditions, the power supply can be maintained at steady level and protect sensitive electronics during severe brownouts and power surges from damaging circuitry.

SelectionCharacteristics

Power - Max: Typically this represents the maximum power rating to which a device will meet its given specifications. Exceeding this power rating may damage the device and other system components.

Voltage - Input: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.

Voltage - Output: The maximum amount of voltage that can be output by the device.

Connector - AC Output: Specifies the connectors used by a device for AC output, in terms of standard designations or description when non-standard connectors are used.

Cord Length: Indicates the total length of the cord if supplied.

Size/Dimension: The physical dimensions of the device. Typically length X width.

Height: Indicates the overall height of the device.
