Looking for help identifying a SMD Diode

Hi there!

I just want to be sure I am getting the correct part, but I have a SMD Diode that’s labeled B2 and has a sideways 9 on it, I am looking for a replacement and would love some help on how to identify this better for my future repairs! Thanks!

Hello,

I looked into our parts selection to try and match this to a product to offer but I am left without a match. The product part number may help but there is not a lot of information to go off.

Thank you
Ryan

I’m wondering if just a standard B2 works for this like this?

The B2 looks to be a generic marking of a diode based on the link below.

There are a few diodes listed there but I’m not sure what exact one on your PCB is though.

Yeah I saw that too, really frustrating as this part needs replacement.

First thing you should do is accurately measure the dimensions of the part to narrow down package options to one or two, at most.

Next, try to figure out what its function is in the circuit. What parts are connected to it? Is either the anode or cathode connected to GND or a voltage rail? Knowing how it’s connected will tend to point toward certain types of components.

A somewhat zoomed out image showing these connections might help.

This is an example of what it could be.

Highly likely that @Adam7 has the correct part.

The markings are very hard to see in the original image posted, but I think I see a dot below the “B2”, which points strongly to the MBR0520LT1G, based @Adam7’s image.

Here are the dimensions for a SOD-123 package:

When I’m back in the shop I’ll take a look and yeah the markings are extremely hard to read, that was the best angle I could get of it. I’ll take a full board pic and get the dimensions but that looks like it has a dot under the B2 and a sideways 9.
