LoRa Radio and Gateway Solution

Greetings!

I am wondering if someone could help me find a LoRa radio chip or solution that I could integrate onto a PCB board. This chip I would like to be able to send commands to via UART. I would like preferably the same chip to be able to act as a “node” and one to act as more of a “gateway”. The gateway one would listen and send the data via UART to the micro, where we could send it via cell modem.

Most of the “gateways” seem to have their own internet method of sending already included in some sort of demo board, but I would like a single chip or component. Something like this Long Range 900 MHz OEM RF Module | Digi XBee-PRO 900HP | Digi International would be preferable. It’s a chip that works in the same frequency as LoRa, and you can make the same node to gateway structure. However, it would be great to have this in LoRa protocol you could say.

Any leads would be appreciated!

Hello @burgeh,

From the link you provided, there were multiple part number choices, based largely on region. The following links show the options we have:

North America: https://www.digikey.com/short/pztf5q
Australia: https://www.digikey.com/short/pztf59
Brazil: https://www.digikey.com/short/pztf55

Please let me know if these are what you are looking for.

To clarify,

I would like something similar to that basically. That is just an example. I would like a radio module that I can issue commands to that is using LoRa.

Hello @burgeh,

The following link shows the products we have in the same family as those XBee Pro modules calling out LoRa:
