I have an intel i7 8665u 8th gen whose display went out.
A tech guy fixing it advised me that the mosfet had shorted. Here’s a closeup of the AREK 143 mosfet
The laptop powers on but no display due to mosfet shorted and being removed to allow laptop to power on
I’ve searched for this part but can’t find it using the information I posted above.
So is this the correct part number and is there a spec sheet? Anyone know where to purchase or purchase the equivalent ?
Hello @dannyreyna1 and welcome to the forum! It looks like this is related to power management, but not a MOSFET strictly speaking. That might be why your search didn’t pull any results, I believe this is the NB695A power management IC produced by Monolithic Power Systems. Here’s the datasheet: NB685A Buck Converter Data Sheet
It looks like we don’t stock this part, but I’m going to do a little digging and see if we have a good replacement for it. You can also buy directly through the manufacturer but that would most likely come with a hefty order minimum.

Quick follow up- I did search our options for a suitable replacement but unfortunately couldn’t find one. Seems like the footprint is difficult to match, there are a number of 16-VQFN or QFN parts that would theoretically be able to do the work of the original, but none of them would be able to sit in the same solder pad footprint.
Looks like there are several other distributors that list the NB695A in their online catalogs but I didn’t see any that have it in stock right now, unfortunately you might have to roll the dice on sourcing this from a third-party vendor or individual seller.
