Multi-Purpose Touch Screen DIY Project - The Design

Not everyone in the world has an application that could benefit from a highly portable touch screen assembly that will also protect, mount, and allow for super quick setup of most single-board computers, but I did and, in that spirit, I offer up my design to anyone else who may find it valuable.

As you can see in the image on the left the main structural element is the three pieces of 1"x1" extruded aluminum. The rest of the 3D-printed parts attach to it.

Like I said, It can be used with many different SBCs but I will note the bezel is designed for only one display. I have chosen this display as I have used it before, and I find that it works well and is simple to connect to pretty much anything with its HDMI connection.

Tools Required

A screwdriver. I am pretty confident that if you are willing to take on a project such as this you most likely do already have a screwdriver. I will do my due diligence however and be sure that you are able to find one in the event you do not.

I offer this one only because I have it and I like it and I use it a lot. If you would like to find something different here is a link to all of the screwdrivers we have.

A cutting tool will be necessary to cut the Aluminum Extrusion. This can be done in many different ways using different tools. If a way is not already available to you, the least expensive way to do it is probably a hack saw.
