Only information that looks like it might be linked is these that suggest its manufactured by AVX
Hello, @paulallangarrett!
It looks like we don’t carry this, though it is possible that it’s produced by AVX, I haven’t seen any primary sources from them indicating that it’s available. My assumption, considering where this came from, is that it is either a proprietary design by Nintendo or an OEM part that the chip manufacturer directly distributes to their customers.
I can make an inquiry with them to see if we can source this chip, but even if we assume it’s available, they will have an order minimum likely in the neighborhood of several hundred (if not thousand) chips per order. If you want to go that route, I’ll send them an email and we might at least get a confirmation on whether this is actually produced by AVX.
Believe this was developed by Nintendo for use in their game consoles. We do not carry it, or any Nintendo products.
Hi all
Thank you for the response. Could you go ahead and see if you can source them at and what costs? Thousands of people across the EU and America repair Nintendo switches and are constantly trying to source these chips, most people buy broken consoles and take the working chips.
I would imagine you stocking them would be lucrative and depending in prices i would be either able to buy bulk myself or get a group order going from multiple orders
The same goes for the other nintendo switch chips so maybe we could do the same for the other chips?
Absolutely! I’ll email our rep who works with AVX directly.
To be frank, I’m not anticipating they’ll have good news for us in terms of actually sourcing them; the current state of the market for replacement parts/chips is likely because of restrictions placed on their distribution by Nintendo, they’re incentivized not to let these parts be widely available.
That said, it doesn’t hurt to ask, I see we have a number of internal notes stating we don’t carry and/or cannot cross-reference this chip, but this is the first I’ve heard of AVX being the manufacturer. Even if they cannot quote it, having confirmation of where it came from and what its status is would be worthwhile in my opinion.
I’ll let you know what they say, it may take a few days for them to get back to me. Turnaround times on requests like this are hard to predict.
The product specialist has advised AVX does not recognize this part number.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to quote this part.
