No polarity markings on smd cap

I purchased some smd electrolytic that show polarized. When I got them, there were no markings to that effect. Part number PCE4290CT-ND, Panasonic part number EEE-1CA4R7NR. Am I missing something? The datasheet shows that they are polarized.

This is because EEE-1CA4R7NR is a bi-polar type.


You can find the part numbers of the bipolar type in the table on page 6.
For detailed information, please refer to the latest datasheet.

Thank you for clearing that up. I missed the fact that it was bi-polar. Now I have to order the correct ones. :wink:

But…that is not what the attributes say.

Manufacturer’s product specifications are to be considered authoritative, since the product manufacturer is responsible for establishing the specification and producing product that meets it.
Information on the DigiKey website is simply the result of an ongoing aggregation and maintenance effort that is subject to error.

If you find an error like this, please report it using the “Report Product Information Error” button at the bottom of the Product Attributes table. I have already reported this error.

How can I exchange these caps and get the correct ones? Thank you. Greg C.

You may want to save yourself the trouble of so doing; non-polar electrolytics can be used in place of the more-common polarized sort if the device characteristics are acceptable otherwise. Just not the other way around…
