Thank you for your inquiry. This appears to be a signal transformer or fixed inductor of some kind. Unfortunately we do not have a database for what exact parts are used in specific products and would require a part number or some kind of part marking.

With that being said, these typically do not go bad since they are just a wire and a magnet unless they have physical damage.

Thanks, there are no markings at all on the part. It has snap off the pcb, so no contacts
