We are using Molex part numbers 39-00-0283 and 39-00-0318 in our product as a connection to cooling fans. The cooling fans have 24 AWG wire leads and we are crimping the terminals to the leads (one application use female terminals and the other male terminals). Can we use 02-09-2116 and 02-09-1117 terminals on 24 AWG wire? I realize that the terminals are specified to 22 AWG minimum, but what is the impact of using these terminals with 24 AWG wire? The cooling fan current consumption is < 1 amp
Any information on this would be appreciated.
