That’s an unfortunate omission…
Pinout as you describe is typical for devices in DPAK, and I don’t recall the last I saw it otherwise. There tends to be more variability among devices in SOT23 or similar where the thermals associated with different pins are more uniform. One could grab a meter and check for the body diode on an available specimen to confirm.

Going to guess that it follows the same pinout as FQD2N60C from Onsemi found here
