Power / Status LED

------Question for ED-HMI3010-070C-0000 Please Put your question below------

I’m curious if anyone has asked or if it’s possible to have a power RGB LED status on the front bezel? It would be great to have something like the following which provides a status LED you can control via software to provide status at a glance when the screen is sleeping.

I also forgot to add, it would be nice to have a piezo speaker for key click sounds etc.

With the LED and Piezo item how are you wanting these to mount?
Are you looking to integrate them in to the ED-HMI3010-070C-0000?
Or are you looking to make a device that pairs / communicates with the ED-HMI3010-070C-0000 for the LED status and the key clicks?

Right now I’m working on a proof of concept but ideally I’d like an in wall mount so the screen sits flush on a wall just as shown in the photo. It would be a retrofit replacement for a legacy series of POE enabled screens (closed source). The Raspberry Pi 5 has more than enough power to be a controller that communicates of various types of automation controllers / alarm systems. I was going to make a bracket that the screen would clip into with a Carbon X1 printer. The piezo sounder could be used as a door opener chime and key click. A microphone would be an interesting addition as well. The RGB led could be used as a visual indication that there is an issue with an existing alarm contact or red when the alarm is armed. My background is in software so this would all be custom development.

The LED would be exactly as shown on the reference photo and the sound of the piezo would be channeled via a small slit like 3mm x 1mm opening in the bottom of the screen where your eye would never see it.

So just to be clear, yes it would be part of the ED-HMI3010-070C-0000 device. My software running on the RPi5 would deal with all of the signaling and control the RGB LED.

For the RGB LED we do have several that can be software controlled.

I would think that some of these could be either directly attached / adhered to the back of the bezel (if it is transparent)

For piezo items we have a few form factors to look at.
