Push Switch Function

The E-Switch PA412C1100 DPST push switch is shown as “Off-On.” Is this a push-on, push-off function, or is it momentary? None of the data sheets I’ve found make this clear. Thanks!

Welcome back haijack!

This may not be immediately apparent since the datasheet does not mention the detail, the part number builder found near the bottom does call it out. When a switch manufacturer puts things in parenthesis, they indicate that the switch is momentary. The PA412C1100 is push-on/push-off as a toggle.

This particular datasheet does not explain this, but this is an industry norm. Here is a screenshot of the relevant part builder.

The fifth box is relevant in this case. Since this part number starts with PA412C, the “2” indicates “off-on” with no parenthesis for a double pole configuration. This means that it is a toggle function.

The toggle function is what I need, so these switches will work for my application. Thank you Kaleb!
