Range hood switch replacement

Hi, I’m looking to replace a 4-position slider switch in my Bosch DKE9305AUC vent hood that has stopped working for the first two fan speeds - low and medium. Only the 3rd/highest fan speed works.

I tried looking through the DigiKey catalog and the L104031MS02BE is the closest I could find. Does that seem about right? Do you need more info?

Much appreciated!

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

The hard part about replacing slide switches is that they normally need to fit in the same space on a circuit board which means we would need to know the pin spacing. The other part is that we would need to know the function (On-off, or multiple functions). The last part would be knowing the current and voltage ratings.

Searching for LF44A3 makes me think this is Everel Group product and based on the data sheet from the link below I think the full part # is LF44A300W0.

The pin spacing is 7mm (.275in), which makes me think it’s not the one I had initially suggested. I’m not familiar with function terminology, but there are 4 positions to the switch. The first position is where the fan is off. The last 3 positions are increasing in speed - so, low-med-high. Would that make the function OFF-ON-ON-ON?

As for current and voltage, I only have what’s printed on the side of the switch, which appears to be 8 amps at 125 vac.

Whoa, I think you nailed it, @PaulHutch. The only difference I have with what you wrote is that I think the part # is LF44A3000W (instead of LF44A300W0), if I’m reading the data sheet right.

In any case, I really appreciate the lead!
