Raspberry Pi Zero & SEN-19512 camera compatibility

Hi,
Is the SEN-19512 camera (1568-SEN-19512-ND) compatible with the Raspberry Pi Zero (specifically model SC0020 (2648-SC0020-ND)? From what I’ve read there appears to be more than one standard for the camera connectors (with different pitches). The limited data sheet for the camera doesn’t specifically state whether it is compatible with the Pi zero models.

Also, is there more extensive data available for the camera?

Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,

For the full technical readout see https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentation/accessories/camera.html; The page notes that all of the pi’s are supported save for the non W launch variant of the pi zero.

Correct, the SEN-19512 uses the old large pitch, where as the RPI Zero uses the smaller CSI connector…

Here is RPI’s official cable: Accessories | Electronic Components Distributor DigiKey (make sure to use the “Camera” options… Not “Display”)

Arducam indicates " * The v3 line works with all Raspberry Pi models, except for Raspberry Pi 400.

  • To use the V3 cameras with Pi zero models, you need additional camera cables."

Arducam indicates a 15 to 22 pin adapter cable would be needed for the PI 0W and Zero 2W
