I’m installing a Qi2/MagSafe car charger and want to hardwire it because I despise wires, and I like to solder. I see a lot of no-name converters on Amazon and ebay and I want to make sure I get something quality that wont fry the devices. I’d prefer the kind that has pads to solder wires on as opposed to a USB cord/port, as I didn’t see any with a female USB-C port. I’d rather use a USB-C breakout board than a USB adapter.
Is there a converter you recommend for this scenario?
It’s going to depend on the specification on the charger you’re installing, I don’t believe there will be a one size fits all solution for the converter. Do you have some more information on the charger you’re using?
